Every Christmas season, Metro Manila's cinemas kick the usual Hollywood blockbusters out of their programme for two weeks to make space exclusively for Philippine cinema. The Metro Manila Film Festival shows MMFF entries from December 25, 2015, to January 7, 2015.

The Metro Manila Film Festival this 2015 will start with a parade on the 23rd of December like it does every year. The parade will start at SM Arena going to J.W. Diokno, EDSA Extension, Roxas Boulevard, left to South Road, right to Independence Road, to Quirino Grandstand.

There will be a closure along Roxas Boulevard south bound from EDSA Extension to South Drive starting 3 pm on that day. Affected vehicles will be diverted to P. Burgos or TM Kalaw. Motorists should expect heavy traffic in these areas according to MMFF organizers.

Aside from the parade, there is a prelude to the film festival starting on the 17th of December 2015 to the 24th.  Indie films of full feature, animation, and short film under the New Wave Section will be shown in SM Megamall, Robinson’s Movieworld, and Glorietta 4 cinemas.

Film showing will start December 25, 2015 and end on January 7, 2016.
